Michels鈥 journey from a small Midwestern pipeline company in 1959 to an international leader in energy and infrastructure construction is a testament to the belief that a culture grounded in strong core values and collaboration can pave the way for inclusive opportunities within the industry.

While 51社区self-performs most construction activities, we are proud to operate in a socially responsible manner. Our Supplier Diversity Program provides small, disadvantaged, veteran, women, indigenous and/or minority owned businesses with the maximum practicable opportunities to participate in projects and to help our customers achieve their goals for diverse business participation.

Like us, an increasing number of our private and public customers prioritize supplier diversity goals in their contracts, often highlighting the importance of these efforts as part of the contract-award process. By embracing supplier diversity, we remain competitive while contributing to the growth of diverse businesses and positively impacting local economies across the country.

To date, our diverse supplier network of subcontractors, suppliers and professional services includes more than 1,000 diverse businesses and continues to grow.

Our ongoing commitment to supplier diversity extends beyond mere business transactions. By aligning ourselves with organizations that share our values, such as the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC), North Central Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC), and Women鈥檚 Business Development Center, among others, we have built relationships that amplify the impact of our efforts.
